Pastor C. Sherie Hill
Sherie Hill was born September 30 in Rochester, NY but lived in Williamson, NY for the majority of her life. She is one of 12 children born to her cherished late mother. She is married to her best friend, Pastor Rahchae Hill, who she describes as her dear, sweet husband. She moved back to Rochester after she married in 2004.
Pastor Hill earned her master’s in interdisciplinary arts for children from Brockport State University and her bachelor’s in music education from Fredonia State University. She has been a music teacher for in the Rochester City School District for the past 26 years.
When she is not working, she enjoys reading her bible, running and riding her bike. An interesting fact about her is that she doesn’t eat string beans.
She joined AKOMA in 2022 as the Executive Music Director. She was drawn to the group because of her love of directing and teaching new songs. She sings Alto and her favorite AKOMA song is “I’m Encouraged”. In addition to AKOMA, she is affiliated with Changing Lives Ministries House of Prayer where she is the Co-Pastor and she is a member of the 3WG Women’s Group.
Her favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”(KJV)
